Hiring a Speech Therapist in Lafayette
You did not train for a schedule that decides how long you get with a child before you have finished the sentence. This is a small pediatric clinic in Lafayette: speech, feeding, tongue tie and orofacial myofunctional therapy, one child at a time, with the parent in the room. If that is the work you want to be doing, read on and then write to us.
Who we are looking for.
Most therapists do not leave a job because of the work. They leave because of everything stacked around the work: the double bookings, the note you write at nine at night, the sense that nobody senior has watched you treat in a year. Hope Therapy is a pediatric speech, feeding and orofacial myofunctional clinic in Lafayette, founded by Sonya Brooks, and it is small on purpose. That is the whole pitch. What follows is the detail.
The therapist
A speech therapist who genuinely likes working with children and wants to keep getting better at it. If you already have feeding, tongue tie or myofunctional experience, say so. If you want to build it and you will take coaching while you do, that works too, because mentorship here is part of the job rather than a line in an advertisement.
The caseload
Pediatric speech and language, infant and pediatric feeding, tongue tie and tethered oral tissues, and orofacial myofunctional therapy. Infants through teenagers. Every session is one on one, and the parent is usually in the room with you, which changes how you explain what you are doing and why.
The setting
One office on Camellia Blvd, a small team, and a front desk that knows the families by name. The clinic is open Tuesday through Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm. You will know every child on your schedule and every parent who brings them, and they will know you, not a rotating roster.

What comes with the job.
- Medical
- Dental
- Vision
- 401k
- Accrued PTO
- Holiday pay
- CEU reimbursement
- Flexible scheduling
- Mentorship, with unlimited CEUs
That last line is the one worth reading twice. Continuing education here is not a budget you ration a course at a time, and mentorship means someone in the building will actually sit in with you on the hard cases and talk them through afterwards.
Send a note. A person reads it.
There is no portal and no ten screen application. Email your resume to frontoffice@hopetherapy.co, and tell us in a few sentences what kind of caseload you want to be carrying two years from now. If you would rather ask questions before you send anything, call the office during clinic hours and we will talk it through.
