Pediatric Speech and Feeding Therapy for Broussard, LA
We have one office, on Camellia Boulevard in Lafayette. Broussard families make that drive every week, so here is the honest version of what it involves: where you are going, what the first visit looks like when you get there, and what we treat once you sit down with us.
The Lafayette office Broussard families drive to.
Everything we do happens at 1512 Camellia Blvd. There is no second front desk and no Broussard address to mix it up with. Coming in from Broussard you are heading into south Lafayette, and the sign at the road reads Lafayette Pediatric Dentistry in big letters. Look at the panel underneath it: Hope Therapy Lafayette, Speech, Feeding, OMD. We share the building and the front door with the dental office.
What the drive in from Broussard gets you.

Three phases, and then a fourth. Pinpoint, Prime and Perform are below. Prevent is the home programme that carries the gains after we discharge, so the drive stops being part of your week. You do not need a referral to book the evaluation, though some plans require one before they will pay, and we verify your benefits and tell you the real number before your first visit.
Pinpoint
The first visit is an evaluation, one on one, with you in the room. We listen to what you have been noticing at home, watch your child eat or talk or latch, and look at what the mouth is actually doing. You leave knowing what is driving it and what we would work on first, with an honest estimate rather than a number that sounds good.
Prime
Then we build the mechanism underneath the skill: the oral muscles, the resting posture of the tongue and lips, the coordination of suck, swallow and breathe, the listening. This is the unglamorous part, and it is the part that makes the sounds and the meals possible instead of forced.
Perform
Skills that only work in our therapy room are not finished. We move them into the places that count: the high chair, the dinner table, the classroom, the playground. You get the exact strategies to run at home, because you are the one there for the other six days of the week.
