Pediatric Speech and Feeding Therapy for Youngsville, LA
There is one office, and it sits on Camellia Boulevard in Lafayette. Youngsville families point the car north for it every week, so here is what you are driving toward: the building, what happens at the first visit, and what we actually treat once you are in the room.
One office, and this is it.
Every visit happens at 1512 Camellia Blvd in Lafayette. There is no Youngsville address and no second front desk, so there is nothing to turn up at by mistake. The sign at the road is the part that catches people out: Lafayette Pediatric Dentistry runs across the top of it, and our panel sits underneath, reading Hope Therapy Lafayette, Speech, Feeding, OMD. We share the building and the entrance with the dental office.
What happens once you are in the room.

Three phases here, and a fourth after them. Pinpoint, Prime and Perform are below. Prevent is the home programme that holds once we discharge, so the drive in from Youngsville stops being a standing item in your week. No referral is needed to book an evaluation, though some plans want one before they will pay, and we check your benefits and give you the real number before the first visit.
Pinpoint
The first visit is an evaluation, one on one, with you in the room and talking. We hear what you have been living with at home, then watch the thing itself: the latch, the meal, the sounds that will not come out. You go home knowing what is driving it, what we would start with, and an honest estimate of what the timeline looks like.
Prime
Next we build what sits underneath the skill: the muscles of the tongue, lips and jaw, where the tongue rests when nobody is watching, the coordination of sucking, swallowing and breathing, the listening. Nobody films this part. It is the part that turns effort into something your child can do without thinking.
Perform
A skill that only shows up in our room is not a skill yet. We move it out into the high chair, the supper table, the classroom and the playground, and you leave with the specific things to say and do at home, because home is where the other six days happen.
